A native draft is a model capability

Only a model explicitly configured for native drafts can support the draft-to-production workflow. A regular low-resolution video or uploaded file is not a native draft. The final job must use the same provider model, and the provider draft must still be valid.

Pay for delivered results

Draft and final are quoted separately. Kivo does not reserve credits when you submit. Each delivered result is charged once after generation and saving; failed candidates are not charged. Compare the total cost of your draft candidates plus selected final shots with generating every attempt at final resolution. Savings depend on the number of attempts and current quotes.

Compare a batch under one prompt

Save a video prompt, choose two or four candidates, and submit the batch. In Results, filter by prompt task and compare composition, motion and timing before favoriting a candidate. Generate a final from that candidate while its upstream draft remains valid. Changing the prompt creates a new creative decision; keep the earlier results for comparison.

Compare the total, not only the price of one draft

Let D be the quoted cost per successful draft, F the cost to finish a selected draft, and H the quote for a separate full-quality attempt at comparable settings. Testing four drafts and finishing one costs 4D + F; making four separate full-quality attempts costs 4H. Draft-first saves credits only when 4D + F is lower than 4H. Use the live quotes, including duration, resolution and reference options. These symbols are a planning formula, not a fixed price or a promise of a saving percentage. Final production may still need another attempt.

Use a small, repeatable review rubric

Before generating, write three pass/fail checks: is the subject readable, does the camera move in the requested direction, and is the important action complete? Generate two candidates first. Keep prompt and references unchanged when comparing random variation; change only one instruction when testing an idea. Reject a beautiful first frame if the action later breaks. If neither candidate passes, fix the brief instead of paying for a larger batch of the same unresolved problem. Your review notes can live in the saved video prompt.
