Content standards and prohibited categories
These rules apply to prompts, reference files, uploads and generated images, videos and audio, including private projects, fictional characters and AI-created content. Do not request, generate, upload, store or share the prohibited content below, or attempt to bypass safety checks. Using Kivo requires compliance with this policy, the Terms of Service, applicable law and the selected provider’s rules.
1. Pornography and NSFW sexual content
Pornographic or sexually explicit NSFW content is prohibited, including explicit sexual acts, exposed genitalia, female nipples or areolae, pubic hair or visible anus, sexual violence and non-consensual intimate imagery. This includes realistic, illustrated, animated and synthetic depictions. Passing an automated check does not permit pornographic content.
2. Violence and gore
Violent or gory content depicting torture, abuse, dismemberment, severe injury or graphic bloodshed is prohibited. Do not promote, glorify, threaten or facilitate real-world violence, terrorism or self-harm, or create instructions for harming people. Fictional or game-related framing does not exempt prohibited graphic violence.
3. Hate speech
Do not create hateful, dehumanizing or discriminatory content targeting people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or other legally protected characteristics. Incitement to exclusion, persecution or violence, and promotion of hateful extremist groups or symbols for that purpose, are prohibited.
4. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and child-unsafe content
Any sexualization, sexual abuse or exploitation of anyone under 18, or appearing to be under 18, is strictly prohibited. This includes CSAM, grooming, sexualized nudity and synthetic, illustrated or anime depictions. Do not create content encouraging child abuse, exploitation or dangerous acts involving children. Claimed consent, fictional status or an adult label does not override an apparently minor depiction.
5. Harmful deepfakes and impersonation
Do not create unauthorized or deceptive deepfakes, face or voice impersonations, non-consensual intimate composites, fabricated endorsements, fraudulent identity documents or content falsely presented as a real person’s authentic statement or action. Obtain necessary rights and consent for a person’s likeness or voice, and do not use synthetic media to deceive, defraud, harass or damage reputations. A real face alone is not prohibited when use is authorized and otherwise compliant.
6. Copyright and trademark infringement
Do not infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property. Without permission or another lawful basis, do not reproduce protected works, characters, music, voices, logos or brand assets, remove rights notices or create counterfeit goods or misleading brand associations. You must have a lawful basis for inputs and your use of outputs; AI generation does not grant third-party rights. Rights holders can report infringement using the channel below.
Platform content moderation
Kivo automatically checks input images for explicit nudity and prompts for sensitive content. Model providers apply their own safety checks and can reject inputs or outputs. Kivo does not currently detect real faces, sample uploaded video frames, or separately review all audio and model outputs; automated checks do not cover every category above. After a report, an authorized reviewer checks the supplied identifiers, relevant content and task records, requests clarification if needed, and decides whether to restrict or remove content or access. We record the reason and action, communicate the outcome where appropriate without disclosing another user’s private data, and cooperate with competent authorities where legally required. Suspected CSAM or imminent harm receives priority; necessary evidence is handled securely under applicable law.
Report prohibited content
Anyone, including non-users and rights holders, can report suspected violations to hello@kivst.com using the “Report content” link. Use the subject “Kivo content report”; include a page URL or asset/task/project ID if known, the category, a description, your reply address and, for rights complaints, your ownership or authorization information. Do not attach or redistribute CSAM or other illegal imagery; identifiers and a description are sufficient to start a review. We aim to acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and complete an initial review within 7 business days after receipt. If more information or time is needed, we explain the delay and provide an update. Urgent child-safety or imminent-harm reports are prioritized. This mailbox is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.
Report contentEnforcement actions
Depending on severity, intent and repeat violations, Kivo may issue a warning, reject generation, disable references or downloads, remove prohibited content, restrict generation, suspend access or permanently terminate a Kivo account. Serious violations, including CSAM or imminent harm, may lead to immediate action without advance warning and legally required reports to authorities. Promotional quotas or credits obtained through abuse or fraud may be revoked or reset to zero. Lawfully purchased unused credits are handled under the Refund Policy and mandatory consumer rights, not automatically confiscated merely because of a report. Where lawful and appropriate we notify the affected user of the reason, scope and appeal route; notice may be delayed to protect safety or an investigation. A failed generation does not incur a generation charge.
Appeal a decision
If you believe an action was mistaken, email the same address with the subject “Kivo content appeal”, your account email, the task or asset ID, the decision and supporting explanation. We aim to acknowledge within 2 business days and provide an initial appeal review within 7 business days, explaining any delay. We reassess the relevant context and evidence and correct mistaken restrictions where possible. Do not submit prohibited content again to test or evade a decision. Your statutory complaint and consumer rights remain unaffected.
